Current League - Cup League 2 (28th March to 23rd April, 5 weeks)
Cup League 2 Update (5th April)
Results for weeks 1 and 2 are below. Balance isn't quite as anticipated but things will smooth out as I get a better handle on team composition.
Draws for the final three weeks are also posted below.
Note: the final week is on a Tuesday (Thursday being ANZAC day) and will be half scratch (not enough room to have another full round of games).
Signups for Cup League 3 will open in next week and will close on April 25th.
Request: if you are normally not in Wellington but anticipate being here for a few weeks during a league, please sign up so we can allocate you to teams in a fair manner (e.g. returning uni students!)

Welcome to Cup League 2!
It is with a not-insignificant amount of trepidation that I find myself back on the WUHA committee, some 18 or so years after my recovery. This must have been one of the worst kept secrets, and I'm sure I was the last to know. However, the time is right and I'm thrilled to be able to give back again.
We are still on the cusp of having sufficient players for three healthy teams in each grade. We have 91 people registered for this league, but we need another ~10 people to make it comfortable across nine teams.
We heard the feedback on people playing in two teams last league and have decided to not do repeat that. However, we will have a small list of current NZ age-group trialist players that can play up a grade on a round-robin basis if A-grade teams are short. Check in with me or a club rep on a night if you need someone. If a C grade team needs a couple of extra players, we will arrange suitable substitutes on the night.
Finally: a tower-sized shout out to Nick, who is leaving a very tough act to follow (he couldn't completely escape yet though, a guiding hand was requested and accepted for this draw)...
Any questions, reach out via clubs@wuha.org.nz.
