WUHA is always looking for more Referees, if you have a passion for the game and want to help develop the game apply to attend one of our Referee Courses.
REFEREE PATHWAY For referees in New Zealand there is a clear pathway to help you achieve your goals while contributing to the success and enjoyment of players, coaches and Spectators along the way. The starting point for our men and women in the pool is at the grassroots where a Level One Referees Course will equip you to officiate schools and club matches. |

Course 2 , 15 June 2025 - Limited to 24 people15 June 2025- Theory Lectures and Test - Westpac Building, 318 Lambton Quay, Wellington
Time: 10:00am till 4PM Full details in Course flyer. Arrange in-water referee assessment after completing 10 in-water and 5 chief referee matches and approval of your mentor referee. This course is the first level in the road to becoming a National and International Referee. The course is designed to develop players understanding of the rules and the application of these rules. It will also assist all teams to meet the tournament requirements to have at least 4 people holding a completed level 1 referee qualification. Tournament levies for non supply of referees is now set at $150 per referee with a further requirement to supply 4 referees per team. To sign-up or for more information please email [email protected]
