Central Zone U18 Underwater Hockey
The Wellington Underwater Hockey Association (WUHA) select a boys and girls squad of players from the Central Zones schools qualifying tournament. From the squads, 4 teams are selected to play at the annual U18 Interzone Championship.
The New Zealand U18 Interzone Championships are orgainsed for the top 8 zone teams from around the country. At the Interzone Championships the New Zealand U18/19 Squads are selected for the international (Trans-Tasman or Worlds) championship the following year.

Mini UWH League Coaching and Refereeing
The Wellington Underwater Hockey Association requires all U18 Squad members to coach or referee at least two of following Mini UWH Evenings:
If a squad member completes at least 2 Mini's then the full cost of U18 Championships will be reduced by $150. If 1 Mini is completed the cost will be reduced by $75.
2025 Results
Congratulations to the Central U18 teams that represented us at the 2025 New Zealand U18 Interzone Championships at the end of October 2025. Our teams played well and showed great spirit and sportsmanship. Final placings for our Central teams were:
Central A U18 Boys: 1st place
Central B U18 Boys: 5th place
Central A U18 Girls: 2nd place
Central B U18 Girls: 6th place

2024 Results
The tournament was held in October this year. Congratulations to all who played over the weekend! The Boy's A Team had an extremely hard fought tournament, finishing with Bronze medals. The Girl's A Team played a magnificent tournament winning the Gold against Northern A in the final after the game went into overtime. This was the first time in 15 years that the Central u18 Girls A team has achieved 1st place at this tournament.

2023 Results
The tournament was held over the weekend 21-23 October 2023. Congratulations to all who played over the weekend! The Boy's A Team had an extremely hard fought final against Northern A but it slipped away in the final minute with a penalty shot against them, finishing with SIlver. The Girl's A Team played a magnificent tournament and narrowly missed out against Northern A in the final after taking it to 13mins of extra time, and claimed Silver.
